Obliteration of a left frontal sinus defect with a bicoronal approach and pericranial flap and 3D implant insertion
This article presents a case involving close collaboration between ear nose and throat (ENT), maxillofacial surgeons and anaesthetics in the management of a young patient with a frontal sinus defect. The repair technique incorporated a bicoronal approach, pericranial flap and a 3D-printed Stryker PEEK implant, resulting in effective sinus obliteration and restored frontal aesthetics. This technique can be considered a viable 'scar-less' option for the correction of frontal sinus defects.
