Digital brushstrokes: merging art, technology, and interactivity in the age of digital media

The research investigates how virtual platforms enable interactive functions which bring brushwork assessment into its relation to Chinese cultural identity while its technological research studies show how different age groups and educational background and technology knowledge affect audience perception. The researchers employed a mixed-method approach to study how Chinese digital brushwork combines technology and tradition with user interaction. The research team conducted semi-structured interviews with multiple stakeholders which included artists and curators and consumers and they also performed a general online survey. The researchers used NVivo to analyze qualitative data through thematic analysis while they employed SPSS to examine quantitative data for correlations and regressions and ANOVA tests. The study results indicate the platform interactivity is a strong predictor of viewer engagement with the mediation of perceived artistic innovation. The dimensions of authenticity together with the elements of authenticity create a combined effect which develops cultural resonance that leads to audience participation. The educational background of the participants from arts disciplines showed a stronger effect on the authenticity to resonance relationship than other educational backgrounds. The results demonstrate digital brushstroke authenticity operates as a cognitive and affective link which connects traditional art values with contemporary digital esthetics. The effect size analysis shows medium to strong predictive power throughout the variables which demonstrates how innovation and resonance together create value for digital art appreciation.
