Topological Consciousness and the Fractal Architecture of Neural Emergence in QGEFT
The current Paper 40 benchmark does not claim that full neurobiology, realistic sensory processing, or literal consciousness have already been derived on a graph. It does show that a weakly wired embryonic neural substrate in QGEFT can undergo a sharp Hebbian self-organization transition under repeated environmental pulses. In the reference `N=150`, `60`-epoch run, the graph starts from `549` embryonic synapses, crosses the operational awake threshold at epoch `6`, reaches `1040` synapses by epoch `10`, `9489` by epoch `20`, `11103` by epoch `30`, and stabilizes at the complete `K_150` topology with `11175` active synapses, global efficiency `= 1.000`, and synchrony `= 1.000`. The key methodological lesson is equally narrow and important: pruning alone fragments the graph, while balanced pruning plus coactivity-driven rewiring yields a dense integrated communication core.
