Long-term CO₂ mineralization and geochemical alteration in basalts from Saudi Arabia: Implications for carbon storage
Experimental workflow and key findings of CO₂ mineralization in Saudi Arabian basalts. Scoriaceous basalt showed greater porosity development, Ca²⁺ release, TIC accumulation, and carbonate formation than dense basalt, highlighting its higher potential for long-term CO₂ mineral storage.
