Phase Zero: Settlement of Centennial Physical Dilemmas and Philosophical Foundation of the New Paradigm

Abstract Over the past century, modern physics has established two major theoretical pillars, namely general relativity and the Standard Model of particle physics, which have explained most physical phenomena ranging from microscopic particles to macroscopic celestial bodies with unprecedented precision. Nevertheless, the fundamental incompatibility between the two pillars, together with unsolved puzzles including dark matter, dark energy, interpretations of quantum measurement and the origin of fundamental physical constants as well as the generation mystery of basic particle generations, reveals that the existing physical paradigm is facing profound systematic crises. This paper systematically sorts out four core dimensions of centennial physical dilemmas and the full spectrum of mainstream explorations into unified field theories over the past hundred years, and points out that all candidate theories share three inherent flaws: lack of fundamental axioms, one-sided research methodologies and insufficient empirical verifiability. On this basis, this paper elaborates the philosophical foundation and core academic stance of the W≡0 Global Topological Polarity Conservation Unified Field Theory. It clarifies that the core objective of this theory is not to subvert empirically verified existing physical laws, but to construct a deeper and unified ontological foundation for the whole discipline of physics. This study adopts a dual-path academic research methodology integrating Boolean logic ontology line and mathematical derivation phenomenon-function line, and defines the essential differences between the new paradigm as a background theory of all things and traditional Theory of Everything (TOE). It also presents the research roadmap of the upgraded nine-phase complete academic spectrum. Adhering to the principles of prioritizing internal logical self-consistency, maintaining falsifiability and holding an inclusive attitude, this theory provides a brand-new ideological framework for breaking through the centennial predicaments in physics. Keywords Global topological conservation; W≡0 axiom; physical paradigm revolution; unified field theory; philosophy of science; ontology; dual-path academic paradigm; topological particle spectrum
