ESSC v32: Stress-Tested Residual Spatial Organization in PHANGS-MUSE Galaxies
ESSC v32 is presented as a stress-tested residual spatial-organization framework using the public PHANGS-MUSE nebular catalogue. Earlier ESSC versions explored geometry-first interpretations and broad relation-based structural concepts. In the present reconstruction, the framework is intentionally restricted to a physics-first observational setting. The analysis evaluates whether weak azimuthal relation-like descriptors, represented by sin(phi) and cos(phi), retain explanatory contribution after ordinary physical tracers are included. The tested physical variables include galactocentric radius, attenuation (AV), Halpha luminosity, Halpha equivalent width, and Halpha velocity dispersion. Across the tested galaxies, ordinary physical tracers provide the dominant explanatory structure for metallicity residual patterns. Azimuthal relation-like terms produce only weak and object-dependent improvements. Cross-validation substantially restricts interpretation of the effect. A phi-randomization null test was also performed. The azimuthal contribution was not globally stable across all galaxies, but a subset of galaxies showed stronger performance than randomized angular controls. ESSC v32 is therefore not presented as:- a universal physical law,- a dark matter replacement framework,- a cosmological closure theory,- or an ontological theory of existence or consciousness. Instead, the framework is interpreted conservatively as a weak residual spatial-organization descriptor that may appear in a subset of galaxies after ordinary physical tracers have been included. This repository contains the manuscript, regression procedures, stress-test summaries, and minimal reproducibility notes used in the PHANGS-MUSE analysis.
