The Macro-Dynamics of the Ego Loop: Evolutionary Mismatch
This paper extends the temporal feedback loop model of consciousness into a macro-evolutionary, neurobiological, and socio-economic context. The author establishes a structural mapping of the cognitive apparatus, identifying the "Primitive Archive" (the reactive Ego) within the amygdalous and limbic circuits, and the "Rational Present" (the self-reflective Ego) within the prefrontal cortex (PFC). Through the lens of neuroplasticity, the paper models how negative feedback from ego-driven failures shifts systemic decision-making weights from ancient reactive loops to rational circuits. Furthermore, it analyzes the contemporary "evolutionary mismatch," demonstrating how modern infrastructures—specifically consumer capitalism, algorithmic digital media, and permanent geopolitical threat matrices—artificially hyper-stimulate and weaponize the primitive archive to maintain societal control and generate behavioral entropy. Finally, using the historical precedent of the post-WWII (1945) reconstruction, the paper formalizes a model of collective phase transitions, arguing that structural civilizational optimization requires a critical threshold of shared systemic trauma to bypass the defensive inertia of the primitive archive.
