Nanocomposites of Zirconia‐Epoxy: Fabrication and Application
ABSTRACT Zirconia‐epoxy nanocomposites successfully combine the rigidity and functionality of inorganic nanomaterials with the flexibility and processability of polymer materials, creating excellent performance that cannot be achieved by a single material. It has become one of the key materials for meeting high‐end needs of aerospace coatings, electronic information, biomedicine, optics, and other fields. This review thoroughly summarizes and discusses the progress of zirconia‐epoxy nanocomposites from fabrication to applications, including epoxy resin types, zirconia crystal structure and synthesis, diluents, coupling agents, preparation methods and functional applications of nanocomposites. Meanwhile, the potential challenges and future perspectives of zirconia‐epoxy nanocomposites are also discussed in this paper. The aim of this review is to offer a comprehensive overview of recent research to guide the further applications.
