Co/Salox-Catalyzed Enantioselective C–H Annulation for One-Step Generation of C–N Axial and C Central Chirality
-(quinoline-8-yl)benzamides with the strained bicyclic alkenes has been demonstrated. This catalytic protocol enables double enantioinduction to control the C-N axes with low rotational barriers and carbon central chirality in a one-step synthesis. The developed reaction can be performed either with a metal oxidant or under alternative oxidation conditions such as photoredox catalysis.
