Defining a role for venetoclax and hypomethylating agent therapy in younger adults with acute myeloid leukemia
In this issue of Cancer , Perrone et al. present a metanalysis of published studies examining the use of venetoclax and hypomethylating agent therapy in younger adults with acute myeloid leukemia (AML). The authors synthesize a growing evidence base supporting the use of lower intensity regimens in younger adults, signaling a change to the treatment paradigm for AML.
