Foliar Spraying of Silica Nanoparticles Outperforms Its Soil Amendment in Reducing Grain Arsenic via Facilitated Rhizosphere Microbial As(V) Reduction and Enhanced Arsenic Retention by Stem/Nodes
S colocalization within vascular bundles. We demonstrate that SiNPs effectively reduce grain arsenic when soil microbial As(V) reduction is promoted, and foliar application is more efficient via enhancing arsenic sequestration in stem/nodes, providing new insights into SiNP-based regulation of arsenic transformation in soil-rice systems.
