The Story of the Universe

This work develops cosmological dynamics within a unified framework built upon a single minimal axiom: the background space is three-dimensional (D = 3). From this single assumption a coherent mechanism is derived for how form emerges, develops, saturates and enters cyclic evolution. At the heart of the framework lies a new reading of the parameter n: n is not an abstract organisational label, but the spatial dimensional density of form hosted in the D = 3 background. Form manifests itself through dimensional promotion: Planck structure is organised as n0 (pointlike, d = 0), stringlike structure as n1 (linear, d = 1), surface/radiative energy as n2 (d = 2), and volumetric matter as n3 (d = 3). The parameter n is structurally-mathematically defined on the open interval n ∈ (0, 4); the endpoints n = 0 and n = 4 are physically inaccessible bounds. The active form-dimensions d ∈ {0, 1, 2, 3} label four regimes; the Z2 symmetry (n ↔ 4 − n) is centred at n = 2.The dynamical mechanism of the framework is a cyclic dimensional flow. In the d = 2 surface/radiative regime, form gains spatial extent through spherical volume expansion; once a critical volume threshold is exceeded, energy condenses into matter and jumps to the d = 3 volumetric regime. Once d = 3 is reached, the D = 3 fabric does not permit an opening into d > 3, so no new channel of dimensional organisation is available; yet the energy–matter conversion continues to operate one-directionally. Because no upper form-layer remains to be opened and the geometric capacity is exhausted, the acquisition of spatial extent cannot open a new dimension; the system is forced to process all collected energy through a single channel — the direct increase of matter content. As the matter content grows, local gravity deepens; beyond a certain threshold, black-hole formation and the reverse transition (d = 3 → 2 → 1 → 0) become inevitable. Form descends step by step; at the d = 0 Planck-base no further dimensional descent is available, so bouncing is triggered and d begins to climb again. The cycle is repeated continuously; because the two endpoints of n ∈ (0, 4) are direct consequences of the dimensionality of space, singularities are physically inaccessible. The new backbone differs from earlier versions of the theory in three essential respects. First, the n = 0 and n = 4 barriers are no longer a separate axiom; they are direct consequences of the single axiom that «space is three-dimensional». Second, black holes are not introduced as an extra structure; they are produced internally by the mechanism — through the forced single-channel matter accumulation at d = 3 saturation. The surface nature of the horizon (the holographic principle) becomes the natural appearance of the d = 2 form regime. Third, the theory exhibits a double-bouncing property: both from below (Planck-base) and from above (black-hole-type gravitational rebound) — a feature rare in the modern bouncing-cosmology literature. The mathematical backbone is preserved. The Z2 symmetry takes the form n ↔ 4 − n and is centred at n = 2. The form-energy ledger En = xn, together with the symmetric completion xn + x(4−n) = 2x2 cosh[(n − 2) ln x], is carried by the canonical potential V(φ) = Λ4 cosh[β(φ − φ★)/M]. Here x represents the total conserved potential of the universe and n the dimensional organisational density. The bounce density ρb(φ) = 2M4/cosh[β(φ − φ★)/M] enforces the structural upper bound ρtot ≤ 2M4; the lower bound V(φ) ≥ Λ4 on the potential excludes the phantom (w < −1) crossing. For the present-day observational regime the internal-consistency value is u0 ≈ 1.27 (the system lies inside the volumetric-matter regime n ∈ (3, 4), approaching d = 3 saturation). The Klein–Gordon slow-roll solution yields, at late times, u → 0 (i.e. n → 2, the Z2 centre): an asymptotic de Sitter attractor. In this framework, dark energy is the late-time manifestation of the conversion energy released at form-transitions: at each dimensional jump Q(k→k+1) = xk(x − 1) is released, and the cumulative sum ΣQ = x4 − 1 is the structural source of the universe's accelerated expansion; the lower bound V ≥ Λ4 is the covariant scalar-field manifestation of this structural energy. Dark matter is not a separate physical entity; the observed excess gravity is the gravitational manifestation, on a fixed D = 3 background, of the local n deviation (Δn). The central prediction w(z) = −1 + ε0(1 + z)2β²eff, with βeff2 ≡ β2 sech2(u0), is testable with DESI/Euclid/LSST data.
