Primordial Torsional Energy II: From Collapse to Condensate to Cosmos
This is the second paper in the Primordial Torsional Energy (PTE) series. It develops the physical mechanism underlying the pre-geometric framework introduced in Paper I, proposing a complete causal chain from the collapse of a prior universe to the emergence and sustained acceleration of our own. The paper argues that Einstein-Cartan spin-torsion coupling prevented singularity formation in the prior collapse, generating extreme torsion that drove virtual particle pair production. At a critical threshold, quantum entanglement percolated system-wide, forcing collective synchronized annihilation and forming a near-ground-state coherence condensate. This condensate is demonstrated to be a saddle point of the governing PTE action, unstable against long-wavelength phase gradient modes. Those gradients constitute emergent spacetime. Residual coherence deficit in the post-transition vacuum provides a natural physical origin for the observed accelerating expansion without invoking dark energy as an independent entity. Net angular momentum inherited from the prior collapse predicts a preferred cosmological axis consistent with reported large-scale structure anomalies. PTE is positioned as more fundamental than Einstein-Cartan theory, which emerges as its macroscopic limit. The hierarchy PTE → Einstein-Cartan → General Relativity is established explicitly. The framework makes falsifiable predictions for the CMB power spectrum, stochastic gravitational wave background, non-Gaussianity, and galaxy spin asymmetry. Quantitative derivations are developed in the companion Paper III. This is a preprint representing work in progress. Mathematical refinement and further development are ongoing.
