Decentralized sovereign trust infrastructure: a case study of VeriChain by Leonado in global governance and consumer goods
The global economy is currently facing a verification crisis estimated at $2.2 trillion, characterized by widespread counterfeit goods and a labor market where 40% of resumes contain falsified information. Traditional authentication methods are increasingly vulnerable to "Zigzag Fraud," an exploit where digital documents are subtly altered while maintaining mathematically valid signatures. This article examines VeriChain by Leonado, a 100% finished sovereign trust infrastructure anchored to the public Ethereum ledger. Through case studies in Singapore pageantry, professional security, and FMCG, this research demonstrates how decentralized authentication can be integrated across diverse sectors with disruptive pricing of $0.15 per issuance and zero technical friction for end-users.
