Co-content function calculation using trapezoidal integration with an executable program, to obtain the five solar cell parameters

In this article, an executable program, done with C++, is provided to calculate the five solar cell parameters within the one-diode solar cell model. The program also reports the standard errors (standard deviations) of the deduced solar cell parameters, and the vectors and matrices obtained during the calculation, if requested by the user. The program gives the opportunity to linearly interpolate the data before doing the analysis. The deduced solar cell parameters are also written in text files, in an easy format, to help readers to copy and paste them into their article or their analysis program, such as Origin or Excel. The program also yields a text file, with the original current-voltage (IV) measurement, together with columns with I, I−Isc (Isc is the short−circuit current),I−Isc, the Co-Content (CC) function, the saturation current Isat and Isat, the error in Isat, namely, ΔIsat, and its absolute value ΔIsat, to allow researchers easy access and use of these data. The program is tested on a commercial solar cell, and a reasonable parameter extraction is obtained. Finally, a video explaining how to use the executable program is given.
