Computational Discovery of a Novel Stable Pentapeptide (GENCC) with Potential Antimicrobial Properties
This study details the computational discovery and characterization of GENCC, a novel pentapeptide sequence designed for stability and potential antimicrobial applications. Using the ExPASy ProtParam tool, the sequence was analyzed for its physicochemical properties, revealing a high stability index and an estimated mammalian half-life of 30 hours. Structural visualization was performed using PyMOL to evaluate the spatial arrangement of the residues. The findings suggest that GENCC possesses the molecular robustness required for further in-vitro investigation as a potential candidate for antimicrobial therapy, particularly in targeting bacterial membrane-disrupting capabilities.
