Gauge-Type Compensation and Process Chirality from Observation–Feedback Closure: A Relational Realization of Electroweak-Type SU(2) × U(1) Structure

This work constitutes the second paper in a series on observation–feedback (OF) closure, continuing the axiomatic framework introduced in Paper I: https://doi.org/10.5281/zenodo.20085612. This work extends the axiomatic framework of observation–feedback (OF) closure established in our preceding study by introducing three controlled relaxations of the simplifying constraints adopted in the minimal faithful realization. We show that, within a local, linear, first-order compensated-comparison realization, covariance of the ontic internal structure along the ordered persistence parameter τ necessitates a gauge-type compensation structure, thereby providing a relational account of the origin of gauge-connection-like terms. Within this controlled non-minimal realization, a chiral SU(2)-type process sector and a residual U(1)-type Abelian phase sector are represented, together forming an electroweak-type algebraic SU(2) × U(1) gauge architecture. It is further shown that, under the stated process-level grading conditions, chiral closure channels and their process-reversed counterparts are not generically equivalent under the OF admissibility relation. This inequivalence provides a structural interface to irreversible branching processes and, potentially, to a subsequent statistical treatment of the arrow of time. No new physical axioms are introduced. We do not claim a complete derivation of the Standard Model electroweak interaction, fermion representation assignments, hypercharge values, Yang–Mills dynamics, the Higgs mechanism, or the macroscopic arrow of time. All results are to be understood as structural correspondences within the explicitly stated controlled non-minimal realization.
