Model 408-OP: A Preliminary Methodological Framework for Testing Spatial Token-Topology Associations in MS 408.

This paper introduces Model 408-OP, a heuristic framework designed to evaluate non-linguistic structural hypotheses within the Voynich Manuscript (MS 408). The model addresses positional and distributional anomalies by evaluating whether token distributions exhibit spatial associations exceeding randomized baseline expectations in relation to recurrent graphical structures. The methodology emphasizes controlled comparison against randomized baselines to distinguish recurrent patterns from baseline spatial distributions. The framework is intended as a methodological proposal for exploratory computational analysis and should not be interpreted as evidence of semantic decipherment or authorship attribution. The risk of false-positive spatial associations inherent to dense manuscript layouts is acknowledged. Current observations are dependent on limited folio sampling; reported significance levels in future full-scale evaluations will require rigorous correction for multiple comparisons.
