Achieving Robust Ultraviolet Resistance in Scalable Radiative Cooling Coatings for Sustainable Outdoor Building Thermal Management
) and an infrared emissivity of 97.2%. Meanwhile, when applied to small building models via large-area spraying, the homogeneous coating delivers a remarkable surface temperature reduction of up to 14.1 °C under real-world outdoor conditions and represents a 43.6% improvement over commercial cooling whitewall coatings (solar reflectance = 86.6%). Especially, after 100 days of continuous outdoor solar irradiation, the coating exhibited only 1.9% decrease in solar reflectance, showcasing robust UV resilience. This work integrates superior cooling performance, large-area scalability, and extraordinary durability, paving the way for the widespread adoption of PRC technologies in urban environments to combat heat islands.
