From HUMINT to Algorithms: Modernizing Bezmenov's Model of National Ecosystem Collapse

The present work analyzes the fundamental transformation in doctrines of national subversion—the transition from operations based on human intelligence (HUMINT) to high-speed algorithmic information operations (InfoOps). Utilizing Yuri Bezmenov's classic four-stage model (Demoralization, Destabilization, Crisis, Normalization) as a theoretical baseline, the author examines how modern social networks and Artificial Intelligence-generated content function as weapons for "cognitive collapse". The research identifies how vulnerabilities in the state—viewed as a macro-information system—are no longer exploited over decades through agent infiltration, but are compressed into months via the algorithmic maximization of social friction and the disruption of the institutional cycle. The report concludes with a defensive framework, proposing the creation of specialized Fusion Cells to audit, protect, and ensure the integrity of the national cognitive infrastructure.
