Outside Front Cover: Oxidation State Determines Solvent Structure Around a Manganese–Vanadium Polyoxometalate Water‐Oxidation Catalyst
In the Research Article e9168848, Carsten Streb, Leticia González, and co-workers report a combined theoretical and experimental study on the solvent environment around a molecular water oxidation catalyst. The oxidation states of molecular manganese vanadium oxide control the organization of water-acetonitrile solvent mixtures, and thereby, the hydration shell in the catalyst vicinity. These findings shed light on catalyst reactivity and stability.
