Self‐Swerving Optical Force by Chiral Inhomogeneity (Adv. Mater. 26/2026)
Self-Swerving Optical Force by Chiral Inhomogeneity In their Research Article (DOI: 10.1002/adma.202517678), Fei Hu, Qinghua Song, Cheng-Wei Qiu, Xinbin Cheng and co-workers report an intriguing self-swerving effect on chiral particles. This effect arises from reversible optical forces generated by different chirality gradients. It enhances the understanding of chiral-light interactions and enables diverse applications, such as chiral detection, advanced optical manipulation, and micro-robotics.
