The MabZIP60-MaMYB306-MaWRKY49 Transcriptional Module Balances Resveratrol and Flavonoid Biosynthesis in Mulberry for Enhanced Disease Resistance and Nutritional Quality
expression to promote flavonoid accumulation. This MabZIP60-MaMYB306-MaWRKY49 module represents a sophisticated regulatory mechanism that optimizes the balance between the two major phenylpropanoid branches. Our findings provide a novel transcriptional framework for the metabolic engineering of mulberry and other crops to simultaneously enhance health-promoting resveratrol and pathogen resistance, adding value to functional foods and supporting sustainable agriculture.
