Strain‐Tunable Thermal Conductivity in Largely Amorphous Polyolefin Fibers via Alignment‐Induced Vibrational Delocalization (Adv. Mater. 26/2026)
Strain Engineering In their Research Article (DOI: 10.1002/adma.202520371), Duo Xu, Yuan Zhu, Svetlana V. Boriskina, and co-workers demonstrate a record-fast thermal switch based on an amorphous olefin block co-polymer fiber. They used Raman spectroscopy to experimentally probe stretching-induced vibrational delocalization and demonstrated that alignment alone can govern the dominant carrier in amorphous polymers.
