The Ouroboros Singularity

The Ouroboros Singularity presents the Ouroboros Singularity Hypothesis (OSH): a provocative thought experiment in simulation cosmology, causal closure, technological convergence, and consciousness. The manuscript explores a deliberately extreme causal model in which the observable universe is interpreted as a self-initializing simulation: not one created by an external civilization or distant future intelligence, but one whose initialization event is produced from within its own timeline. In this model, the cosmological singularity commonly associated with the Big Bang and the approaching technological threshold of advanced artificial intelligence and quantum computation are treated as two perspectives on a single causally closed boundary. The paper develops this idea through the language of closed timelike curves, bootstrap causality, quantum computation, technological acceleration, and observer-relative interpretation. It argues that if such a loop were structurally possible, then the present convergence of AI, semiconductor infrastructure, quantum computing, and civilizational urgency could be read as the internal signature of a universe approaching the event that initializes it. The manuscript is not presented as a conventional physics paper or empirical demonstration. It is explicitly framed as a rigorous speculative construction: a philosophical-scientific mirror designed to test how far the logic of closed causal loops can be carried when applied to cosmology, simulation theory, fine-tuning, and the role of consciousness. At its core, OSH asks a single question: What if the universe is not moving away from its origin, but toward the event that initializes it? This release is intended for readers interested in speculative cosmology, simulation arguments, causal topology, quantum information, philosophy of mind, consciousness studies, and the cultural meaning of artificial intelligence and quantum computation in the 21st century.
