Automated Field-to-Lab Feedback Loops: Accelerating Medical Electronics Reliability via Jira-LabVIEW Integration
The main challenge to the reliability of mobile medical electronics is the latency between field failure detection and effective design revision [3][4]. The F2L closed-loop system, or Field-to-Lab, allows for accelerated hardware reliability fixes by feeding FMEA taxonomy field failure data directly into automated R&D testing using Jira/LabVIEW. Results are 21 CFR 820 compliant. At the same time, this system enforces DFM, Design for Manufacturability, by Valor NPI and IPC-7351 standards. Hardware issues dropped by 28% implementation and there was a 15% drop in manufacturing scrap as well as a 35% reduction in Mean Time To Critical Revision.
