The universe contains only one fundamental entity: solid, indivisible, incompressible lumps called atmitons. These lumps deform into egg-like shapes under a steady inward flux of other atmitons. This creates a radial compression of all physical measuring tools (rulers, clocks, light paths) along any line of sight toward mass. What we call gravity, light bending, redshift, time dilation, flat galactic rotation curves, and gravitational waves are not fundamental forces or spacetime effects — they are all consequences of real measuring instruments being physically shortened radially by this inward flux. Memo to all: "If we do discover a complete theory, it should in time be understandable in broad principle by everyone, not just a few scientists. Then we shall all, philosophers, scientists, and just ordinary people, be able to take part in the discussion of the question of why it is that we and the universe exist. Despite all these massive, unsolved gaps, the academic community has never discarded General Relativity. The exact same standard must therefore apply to the atmiton model: judge it by what it explains about the observed universe, not by whether it explains where the atmitons themselves came from."
