Review on Recent Research Trends in Zinc Leaching and Iron Separation from Zinc-Containing Industrial By-products Using Wet Leaching Processes
This paper presents a comprehensive review of recent research trends in hydrometallurgical processes for the recovery of zinc from zinc-containing industrial byproducts. In particular, we analyze the efficiency and methodology of various inorganic and organic acid leaching techniques for the selective recovery of zinc from electric arc furnace dust and zinc smelting dust.Furthermore, we discuss methods for separating coexisting iron impurities.Ultimately, this review aims to serve as an important reference material, contributing to the advancement and commercialization of recycling technologies for diverse zinccontaining industrial byproducts.
