ABSTRACT NUMBER: ESOC2026OT200 ASSESSMENT OF THE EFFECTIVENESS OF NEUROMODULATION METHODS FOR RESTORING COGNITIVE FUNCTION

Abstract Background and aims 94 million people worldwide living with the effects of stroke (WSO). Up to 60% of stroke survivors may have some type of cognitive impairment in the first year after a stroke.(ASA) Cognitive deficits significantly reduce the quality of life and complicate social adaptation. Traditional treatment measures often have limited effectiveness. It is important to study the effectiveness of neuromodulation methods in organizing cognitive rehabilitation. Methods Evaluation of the effectiveness of transcranial micropolarization ( TCMP ) and transauricular vagus nerve stimulation (TaVNS) in cognitive rehabilitation. Results The study involved a total of 40 patients with stroke early recovery and mild cognitive impairment. Patients were divided into 2 groups of 20. Patients received treatment for 10 days. While only traditional treatments are used for the group B, in addition to the group A, TCMP and TaVNS neuromodulation techniques were used. Changes assesed by EEG, FAB and MoCA scale. Conclusions In patients , a pre-treatment test showed results of 13.7± 0.8 on the FAB scale in group A, 13.55± 0.83 on group B, and 24.05 ± 1.32 and 24 ± 1.28 on the MoCA scale, respectively. According to the results obtained after treatment, the increase in the group A according to the FAB scale was 8.5% , and in the group B - 3% .According to MoCA scale, the score of group B increased 3.33%, and in the group A it increased 9% (p<0.005). No significant changes were observed in the EEG. Conflict of interest
