Upgrade of the ATLAS Tile Calorimeter front-end power supply for the HL-LHC

Abstract In preparation for High Luminosity LHC, many of the electronics of the ATLAS detector are being upgraded to accommodate the new requirements and infrastructure. The Low Voltage power supplies (LVPS) for the front-end electroncics of the Hadronic Tile Calorimeter, a major sub-detector of the ATLAS experiement, is being upgraded to increase the efficiency and withstand the harsh radiation conditions of High Luminosity LHC. Accordingly, some components were changed and radiation tests were performed to evaluate the radiation-hardness of the components for the final design. This paper presents the improvements in the design and the results from the radiation tests.
