The genome sequence of a click beetle, Limonius poneli Leseigneur & Mertlik, 2007 (Coleoptera: Elateridae)

<ns3:p> We present a genome assembly from an individual male <ns3:italic>Limonius poneli</ns3:italic> (click beetle; Arthropoda; Insecta; Coleoptera; Elateridae). The assembly contains two haplotypes with total lengths of 1 351.61 megabases and 1 247.44 megabases. Most of haplotype 1 (99.07%) is scaffolded into 10 chromosomal pseudomolecules, including the X sex chromosome, while 98.81% of the haplotype 2 assembly is scaffolded into 9 chromosomal pseudomolecules. The mitochondrial genome has also been assembled, with a length of 16.69 kilobases. This assembly was generated as part of the Darwin Tree of Life project, which produces reference genomes for eukaryotic species found in Britain and Ireland. </ns3:p>

</ns3:p>
