First person – Chandramouli Mukherjee

First Person is a series of interviews with the first authors of a selection of papers published in Journal of Cell Science, helping researchers promote themselves alongside their papers. Chandramouli Mukherjee is first author on ‘ Chromogranin B plays an essential role in post-endoplasmic reticulum sorting of dense-core vesicle cargo’, published in JCS. Chandramouli is a PhD student in the lab of Dr Bhavani Shankar Sahu at National Brain Research Centre, Gurgaon, India, investigating secretion of dense core vesicles (also known as secretory vesicles) in neuroendocrine cells to understand their intracellular trafficking pathways and potential roles in disease.
