LAW FORENSIC PSYCHOLOGY (PLAF) A Novel Scientific Discipline for the Measurement of Legal Reasoning and Behaviour

ABSTRACT Law Forensic Psychology (PLAF) is a pioneering scientific discipline that redefines the study and practice of law by transforming it into a measurable science. Unlike traditional jurisprudence, which relies heavily on statutes, precedents, and subjective interpretation, PLAF introduces a framework that quantifies the psychological and behavioral variables embedded in statutes, judgments, and the conduct of legal actors. It recognizes that legal outcomes are not determined by written law alone, but are profoundly shaped by the reasoning, biases, and cognitive processes of judges, prosecutors, defense attorneys, legislators, and other participants in the justice system. At the core of PLAF is the Law Intelligence Quotient (LIQ), a psychometric scale ranging from 0 to 5,000 that measures the forensic reasoning capacity of legal professionals across five domains: lexicon command, typology detection, SIQ integration, doctrinal admissibility, and judgment engineering. Complementing LIQ are 12 Specialized Intelligence Quotients (SIQs), each designed to assess integrity and reasoning within specific sectors such as the judiciary, police, military, taxation, immigration, education, and media. Together, these instruments provide a comprehensive matrix for evaluating institutional resilience against corruption and systemic failure. PLAF also introduces the Lexicon Universalis Corruptus (LUC‑6000), a forensic lexicon of more than 6,000 terms that replaces vague and imprecise legal language with precise, metric‑based analysis. By naming and categorizing behaviors that traditional law has failed to capture — such as Judgecull (judicial elimination of cases for profit), Warrantivore (exploitation of warrants for financial gain), and Eurobonvore (misappropriation of Eurobond funds) - LUC‑6000 provides courts, investigators, and policymakers with a standardized vocabulary for corruption and misconduct. This founding paper sets out the doctrine, instruments, applied fields, and admissibility framework of PLAF. It argues that legal systems must evolve beyond descriptive statutes into measurable science, where outcomes can be tested, replicated, and validated. PLAF is not merely a theoretical construct; it is a practical forensic discipline designed to strengthen judicial integrity, enhance prosecutorial competence, and provide measurable safeguards against abuse of office.
