Effectiveness of Hand Orthotic Fabrication Training on Self-Efficacy and Lifelong Learning in Physical Therapy and Occupational Therapy Students

Objectives: Orthotic fabrication is crucial to hand rehabilitation, yet therapists often lack theoretical and practical knowledge. This study examined the impact of hands-on hand orthotic fabrication training on self-efficacy and lifelong learning in physical therapy and occupational therapy students.Materials and Methods: Sixty-four students were randomly assigned to either a control or training group. Both groups followed a hand rehabilitation course, while the training group received an additional six-weeks hand orthotic fabrication training.
