Gender Dysphoria in Adolescents With Heritable Disorders of Connective Tissue: A Case Series
Learning Points Increased prevalence of gender dysphoria was observed among adolescents within a northern California multidisciplinary connective tissue disorders clinic relative to the California state average. Rates of depression, anxiety, and suicidality were high within this cohort at 100%, 89%, and 67%, respectively. Multidisciplinary clinics may be particularly well‐positioned to provide comprehensive care for patients experiencing connective tissue disorders and gender dysphoria.
