A Minimal Scalar-Vector-Spinor Effective Field Theory for Dark-Sector Phenomenology and Modified Cosmological Dynamics

We develop a reformulation of the scalar-vector-spinor (SVS) proposal, beyond its macroscopic scalar-vector-tensor (SVT) limit, as a generally covariant effective field theory (EFT). The construction is deliberately conservative: it does not claim to be a complete ultraviolet theory, but instead treats the original algebraic idea as an organizing principle for a controlled low-energy action. The microscopic SVS language packages scalar, vector, bivector, and spinor structures in a Clifford-algebra envelope, whereas the macroscopic SVT description retains a metric, a scalar field, vector degrees of freedom, and matter coupled to a physical metric. We present a SVS action containing the Einstein-Hilbert term, a canonical or weakly non-canonical scalar sector, a hidden massive Proca vector, an optional unit timelike vector sector, and leading portal and curvature couplings. We derive the background equations, state perturbative stability requirements, and identify observational channels in expansion history, structure growth, gravitational-wave propagation, lensing, and hidden-sector searches. The framework can mimic quintessence-like dark energy, support vector or scalar dark-sector phenomenology, and generate modified-gravity signatures such as gravitational slip or a scale-dependent effective Newton constant. Its viability, however, depends on controlled power counting, compatibility with GW170817 constraints on tensor-mode propagation, and future global fits. The resulting SVS-EFT is therefore best understood as a mathematically organized, falsifiable research program rather than a completed unification theory.
