Homologation of Isoindoles: 2-[ <i>N,N′</i> -Bis( <i>tert</i> -butoxycarbonyl)amidino]-2 <i>H</i> -benzo[ <i>f</i> ]isoindole and 2 <i>H</i> -naphtho[2,3- <i>f</i> ]isoindole
]isoindole were prepared by multistep synthesis, their reactivity toward dienophiles was studied, and instability in solution was established.
