A cross-disorder comparison of written language skills. Evidence from children with a writing disorder (dysgraphia) and mild language impairment: A case study

This study compares the written language features of two second-grade Lithuanian children -one diagnosed with a writing disorder (dysgraphia) and one diagnosed with mild language impairment.A quantitative and qualitative analysis was conducted on the children's written texts (more than 3,000 words) collected over one academic year. The research identified both shared and distinct types of written language errors.Differences in handwriting and morphological awareness further distinguished the participants. The findings highlight overlapping phonological and grammatical difficulties characteristic of both participants.
