Strong Interaction as Torsion Density Resonance
The strong interaction in conventional physics is described through colour charge, gluon exchange, and SU(3) gauge symmetry. QCD provides the successful quantitativedescription of confinement and hadronic structure within its domain; this paper developsthe geometric substrate from which those results emerge in the Cohesion Unified FieldTheory. The strong interaction arises from torsion density resonance between fractionaln = 6 closure segments (quarks) under n = 2 collapse pressure. The geometric structureof quarks and hadrons was established in Paper 21 [7]; this paper extends that account byidentifying torsion density resonance as the specific binding mechanism, distinguishingit from nuclear binding (Paper 20), and developing the resonance collapse account ofconfinement. Confinement is a geometric necessity: fractional closures cannot sustaincontinuance (Paper 21), and the binding energy grows as the resonance collapseswith separation. Gluons are identified as torsion density exchange modes rather thanindependent particles. Resonance states are slip phase excitations of the compositerecursion. This is the first geometric, mechanical, and scale-consistent account of thestrong interaction within the Cohesion UFT framework.
