First person – Yutaka Ogawa

First Person is a series of interviews with the first authors of a selection of papers published in Journal of Cell Science, helping researchers promote themselves alongside their papers. Yutaka Ogawa is first author on ‘ Protein quality control of thermosensitive nuclear transport factor importin α’, published in JCS. Yutaka conducted the research described in this article while a research scientist in Naoko Imamoto's lab at RIKEN Cluster for Pioneering Research (CPR), Saitama, Japan. He is now a research scientist in the lab of Motoaki Seki at RIKEN Center for Sustainable Resource Science, Yokohama, Japan, investigating stress responses and nuclear transport across species.
