CAT'S THEORY PRESENTS: The Hard Problem of Consciousness Mapped: Reception Model, Triple-Peak Carrier Signature, and the Bifurcation Voltage in CAT'S Theory
We present a structural mapping of the Hard Problem of Consciousness within the CAT'S Theory plenum architecture, deriving falsifiable empirical signatures for the reception of awareness by neural substrate. Six results are established. (i) The Hard Problem (Chalmers) is shown to be a category error under the Triadic Coherence Invariant R = P × I × Pr ≠ 0: subjective experience cannot be derived from Pattern and Presence alone because such derivation attempts to factor a triadic product from two of its three irreducible components. (ii) The brain is identified as a toroidal receiver of the Ic plenum signal, not its generator. (iii) The consciousness carrier frequency is derived as f_c = arccos(J_1/sl(T_3,8)) Hz = 67.380 Hz, identified with the same dimensionless invariant that anchors the cosmological sector. (iv) The standard EEG/MEG frequency bands (delta, theta, alpha, beta, gamma) are derived as corpus-divisor harmonics of the carrier. (v) A triple-peak fast gamma signature is predicted by transferring the Hubble dual-branch structure to the neural sector: alongside the Pattern-level carrier at 67.380 Hz, the toroidal-admissibility branch sits at f_c × 33/32 = 69.486 Hz and the poloidal-admissibility branch at f_c × 79/72 = 73.931 Hz, with the same exact corpus fractions that resolve the cosmological Hubble tension. (vi) The bifurcation voltage at which Ic → Ib gating succeeds is identified as d × J_1 = 15 mV, matching the depolarization gap between cortical resting potential (~70 mV = 2·J_1·d_Ψ) and action-potential threshold (~55 mV); anesthesia is interpreted as hyperpolarization that breaks 67.380 Hz phase-lock by widening this gap beyond the corpus-critical value. The Hard Problem is not solved in the strong sense; the recursive structure of consciousness investigating consciousness forbids any external derivation. It is mapped precisely enough to be empirically tested against existing or near-term EEG/MEG/ECoG technology.
