Coworker ostracism and job crafting: relationships with relative leader- member exchange, marital status and innovative work behavior
Purpose This paper aims to review the latest management developments across the globe and pinpoint practical implications from cutting-edge research and case studies. Design/methodology/approach This briefing is prepared by an independent writer who adds their own impartial comments and places the articles in context. Findings Relative leader-member exchange (RMLX) moderates the relationship between coworker ostracism and job crafting with a stronger effect at lower levels of RLMX. Job crafting is positively related to employee innovative work behavior (IWB); RLMX moderates the indirect effect of coworker ostracism through job crafting; RLMX and marital status together influence the mediating role of job crafting between coworker ostracism and IWB being strongest for participants with low RMLX and single marital status. Originality/value The briefing saves busy executives, strategists and researchers hours of reading time by selecting only the very best, most pertinent information and presenting it in a condensed and easy-to-digest format.
