Design of highly sensitive ionic electronic flexible pressure sensor with micro-hemisphere array

With the development of artificial intelligence and Internet of Things technology, flexible pressure sensors are widely used in wearable devices and for human–computer interaction owing to their high sensitivity and fast response characteristics. To solve the problems of low sensitivity and slow response of traditional strain sensors, this paper proposes an electrically flexible sensor based on silver nanowires and micro-hemispherical arrays. Silver nanowires are sprayed onto a flexible polyimide substrate film as an electrode layer, and reverse molding is used to obtain ion dielectric layers with micro-hemispherical convex arrays. Packaging testing of the sensor shows that the sensor has a sensitivity reaching 8.6435 kPa−1 over a range of 0–800 kPa, and it has fast response/recovery times of 30/30 ms. This sensor can enable rapid and stable monitoring and characterization of weak and flexible parameters such as micro-expressions, muscle activity, speech, and pulse. This research has broad application prospects in fields such as smart wearables and flexible electronics.
