Chronometric Compression Gravity: A Temporal-Tensor Framework for Emergent Gravity and the Non-Fundamental Graviton
This paper proposes Chronometric Compression Gravity, a speculative temporal-tensor framework in which gravity is interpreted as emerging from gradients in local proper-time compression rather than from a fundamental graviton-mediated force. The framework introduces a chronometric compression field χ, connects weak-field gravitational acceleration with proper-time gradients, and discusses how Standard Model fields may couple through a chronometric-tensor metric. The paper examines whether ultraviolet divergences in perturbative quantum gravity may arise from assuming arbitrarily sharp spacetime fluctuations, and proposes finite invariant chronometric resolution as a possible UV-softening principle. The model is compared with General Relativity, perturbative quantum gravity, scalar gravity, emergent gravity, loop quantum gravity, and string-theoretic approaches. This version is a preliminary theoretical proposal intended for open review, criticism, and further mathematical development. It does not claim to provide a completed theory of quantum gravity, but offers a candidate framework for reinterpreting the graviton as an effective excitation rather than a fundamental particle.
