Smart Helmet Integration with Accident Detection and Location Tracking
On the other hand, people who ride two-wheelers are very vulnerable to accidents because of their low level of safety and lack of an automated rescue mechanism. According to the World Health Organization, late arrival of emergency services raises significantly the risk of death in motorcycle-related incidents. The main problem of classic helmets is that they do not have any features of a smart helmet. They cannot sense, communicate, and monitor anything. In view of fast progress made by embedded systems, sensors, and Internet of Things (IoT), the incorporation of intelligent features is now more possible than ever before. Such advanced technology makes the process of gathering, processing, and transmitting data much faster. Embedded sensors will be able to constantly control the rider's status and the status of the vehicle. At the same time, through communication channels, important data about critical situations will be instantly transmitted to the rider's relatives.
