The Role of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in World Agriculture Production: Impacts on Employment and Income Generation for Global Youths in Top TEN Countries in the world

Abstract The global agricultural sector faces unprecedented challenges including climate change, population growth, resource scarcity, and youth unemployment. Artificial Intelligence (AI) offers transformational potential to improve agricultural productivity and labor efficiency, while generating new employment and income opportunities for youth. This study examines the role of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in transforming global agricultural production and its implications for employment and income generation among youth in the top 10 agricultural economies. Using a mixed-method approach, including secondary data and structured questionnaires, the study finds that AI significantly enhances productivity (20–30%), reduces costs, and creates new employment opportunities in agri-tech sectors. However, disparities in access and skill gaps remain major challenges. The study examines AI’s role in agriculture in the top 10 agricultural economies — the United States, China, India, Brazil, Russia, France, Germany, Australia, Canada, and the Netherlands. Using secondary data from OECD, FAO, World Bank, and industry reports, the research demonstrates that AI enhances production, creates diversified youth employment, and supports income generation. Though adoption varies, the benefits are robust; however, digital divide, data gaps, and skill shortages remain barriers.
