RP-HPLC method for monitoring the synthetic process of N-pyrrolyl-hydrazone compounds with bioactive potential

The development of an efficient reverse-phase high performance liquid chromatography (RP-HPLC) method is crucial for monitoring the synthetic process of N-pyrrolyl-hydrazone compounds with bioactive potential. This study outlines the optimization of chromatographic conditions, including stationary and mobile phases, to achieve optimal separation and resolution of target compounds. The method demonstrates high sensitivity, reproducibility, and specificity, allowing real-time analysis of reaction progress and assessment of product purity. Using this RP-HPLC technique, we successfully tracked the formation of the target (E)-ethyl 5-(4-bromophenyl)-1-(1-(2-(3-formylbenzylidene)hydrazinyl)-1-oxo-3-phenylpropan-2-yl)-2-methyl-1H-pyrrole-3-carboxylate (Y5) and its possible side products, providing a reliable tool for synthetic chemists in drug design processes. The results indicate that the proposed synthetic procedure allows the formation and isolation of a pure azomethine product. These findings support further exploration of these compounds in pharmacological applications and contribute to the optimization of synthetic methodologies in medicinal chemistry.
