CENTAURE Project: Unlocking the secret of centenarian resilience
Inserm in Montpellier has just received significant funding from AXA Mécénat to conduct a new study of French centenarians – CENTAURE – somewhat like “In Search of the Secret of Centenarians,” which was conducted by Inserm and the Ipsen Foundation in 1990. A sub-project called SuperCentaure will measure the value of the biomarkers found in Centaure in a sample of supercentenarians celebrating their 110th birthday during the study period, estimated to number around 50 individuals.
