Valley-spin transport and polarization in ferromagnetic silicene/germanene/ferromagnetic silicene function

In this work, we investigate the transport properties of a Silicene/Germanene/Silicene junction, where the silicene leads are ferromagnetic. The transmission, conductance, and polarization are calculated using the transfer matrix method and the Landauer-Büttiker formalism. Our results show that the on-site potential and the exchange energy in the silicene regions affect the conductance of the four conduction channels in distinct ways. Moreover, fully spin and valley polarization can be achieved by tuning either the on-site potential or the exchange energy. This study provides valuable insights for the field of nanoelectronics, opening new avenues for the experimental realization and control of spin-valleytronic properties in engineered two-dimensional heterostructures based on silicene and germanene.
