Distribution of temperature in pavement and soil base in the South-Eastern Kazakhstan
The paper is devoted to an experimental study of temperature distribution in a road pavement and its soil base in the climatic conditions of the south-eastern Kazakhstan. The temperature was measured by a monitoring system that included sensors and was powered by solar panels. The characteristics of changes in air temperature, asphalt concrete pavement surface, pavement layers and soil base points are analyzed and described. Using a model and the Stefan-Boltzmann law direct, atmospheric longwave and summary solar radiations were determined. Correlations were established between the amounts of atmospheric longwave and summary solar radiations and the maximum daily surface temperature of the asphalt concrete pavement. A graph of freezing and thawing of the road pavement and soil base was constructed and its characteristics were determined.
